Would be possible to produce a multithreaded version of milkdrop? I definitely could not do this on my own, but it would be nice to see my opteron fill up to 100percent usage and deliver superior fps @ higher mesh sizes. If you release a build with smp support plz post it here so I can test it out for you!

p.s. I noticed the 6.1 beta did not correct the issues milkdrop 1.04 has with with multimonitor support. I have to keep both 1.03 and 1.04 installed so that I can use my secondary display. 1.04 slows down majorly on my secondary lcd and wont do fullscreen. I don't know if this is only an nvidia issue as I havent tested with ati dualmon, but I hear from my friends that dualview support is broke in 1.04 after as well.

multi mon has always worked for me, its never really been broken, its just imposable to set up... i'm assuming that when you try to select your second monitor the change is never stored?

yes. fullscreen wont work even if i select second display. that's not the full extent of the problem im describing though. In 1.04 i loose 90 percent of my fps when i have the window anywhere in the second display. this is on any detonator driver set. 1.03 = same fps on either panel.
btw, would adding smp support into a milkdrop build be easy or no?

Well, I fixed the not saving bug in a patch I made for 1.04, but the guys round here working on a new version were going to incorporate it into theirs. So maybe try that, and if not, try my one. It's in the troubleshooting forum somewhere.
