Playing HUGE mp3's in winamp.... won't work!!!

Hey there I have a few really long MP3's (they are about 90 minutes long) and winamp only plays the first 1/4 of the file, then it goes to the next song! If there are no other songs in winamp, it just stops!!!

I try to skip ahead to about halfway through the mp3 file, and winamp plays about half a second of it, then does the same thing!! Will someone please help me this is drivin me nuts!!!

Btw, I am running winamp 2.7 on a AMD k6-2 450 with 96 MB RAM Windows 98 second edition.

Sorry, but I personally don't have the time to download 21MB
Maybe someone else with a high speed connection can oblige.

In the meantime, do other players play the track/s ok ?
If you have the files on your HDD try playing them with WinMediaPlayer, or copy & paste the url into the open file box.

This way we'll know whether it's a winamp based fault or a corruption in the actual mp3's.

If these are your own personal tracks:
What sofware did you use to encode them ?
What bitrate did you encode them at ?

You might also need to supply us with your full sys specs, especially :
Processor & speed, RAM, soundcard, Windows OS, connection type & speed.

I am running Winamp 2.7 on CeleronII 600 running at 1008mhz with 192MB RAM and Windows 2000 Pro.

I am sorry to say for you it works fine on my machine. So I don't think it's winamp.

Could be your settings in Winamp, your buffer settings, version of DirectX you have if you are using DirectSound OUTput Driver.

I've been playing 80+ Meg files on my P150MMX and they seem to work alright. No problems so far.

The only problem I *do* have is that it takes a while sometimes to load the song and strat playing. Ends up crashing other apps like ICQ (or that's what it looks like, anyways). Anyone else seen this?
