Hi all,

i was looking for feedback concerning those two hosts ; ukonline seem very competitive and talkative from their emails.
They offered me 50slots@200kbps for 40£ + 5gigs for 5£ a month which is the best "kb's for $$$" deal i managed to find.

Impek too but they're slightly more expensive and specialise in live shooting and broadcasting.
They offered me 20slots@200kbps for 25€ a month to which the NSV streamer must be added (25€ ; i cant stream from home) and threw in a free 5gigs folder.

If i had the $$$ i'd go directly for streamingsolutions seeing all the good feedback they got but they are above my budget (50-60€ for at least 25 slots @ 200kbps and 5 gigs for the files)

So if anyone can advise me in choosing a low-cost european and continent-based host.... :-)

Cheers!

Is your Caps Lock key broke broadcaster12 ? You seriously need to fix that.

Low cost does not always equal best value for both technical support and quality of service.

I host with stream solutions and I find their service very affordable.

You can look through a directory of shoutcast hosts provided by KXRM - www.radiotoolbox.com/hosts

hi broad&sankt,

thanks for replying, i guess i understand about giving names, some people might try to speak badly of their competitors to get the deal.
Although i dont see how i could have asked the question differently ; i couldnt find another board with so many members to post to.
Thanks for the link sankt, gave it a look some time ago but found it annoying video capability isnt mentioned.

I'm gonna give it a look again.

Thanks!

ps: any bb's to recommend for talking about banned stuff here?

i know no one gives a sh*t but here's an interesting page on the basis of space tele-video recording...This is what started it all really and in 1964 they were already able to digitally beam 1700*1700 images with amazing quality...

http://www.mentallandscape.com/V_Cameras.htm

Also the Venus page of that site has the best Venus surface shots i found (though its a bit crappy compmared to Mars....)

Americans focused on mars whilst russian focused on venus. And russians managed to do much more on venus (which is another word for hell : 90 atmospheres of pressure and 350-450°C) than americans at the same period...They landed 11 probes, and their last mission was amazing, it was a 3-in-1 "Lander,WeatherBalloon-Halley Comet photographing" 4 tons beast...The balloon thing is clearly the most impressive thing they managed to do...

bahhh i don't know why i typed this....cya :-D

well most of the servers i run, i own and manage myself,

however i have tested a few other companys here and there and from i have found there is one that deserves a round of gratitude for what they have provided to broadcasters everywhere...

great support, soild hardware and bandwith, plus lots of goodies.
