I have a friggin problem

Ok, im making my slider bar for the volume control right now. my problem is, my friggin background is moving all the time. is there a way i can freeze the background. help people. im using photoshop 5.

You should make the slider in a separate layer from the rest of the bar. That way the background will not move when you reposition the slider. That should solve your problem. I don't know anything about making skins, but I do know everything about Photoshop, as I have had it since version 3

Volume control can be a b*t*h to make sometimes! Your problem is that each image for the slider has to be the same in the Volume.bmp file. If they are too different then when you slide the volume button the background will cycle though a number of different images!

To freeze the background of the volume bar just copy and past each little part of the slider down so that they are all exactly the same.
