Anyone notice how
"chrome 3D duece" http://www.winamp.com/customize/detail.jhtml?componentId=18381
looks exactly like a cheap rip off of
"Mercury" http://www.winamp.com/customize/detail.jhtml?componentId=3118

Or is this just me being dumb again...

Nope, it's not you being dumb. It's the reviewers not knowing that a skin is a rip off and giving it a five star rating nonetheless. This has been happening quite a lot lately....

I see EXACTLY what you mean...

They are IDENTICAL except for some coloring.
And they gave it five stars, whereas I spent
two weeks skinning EVERY detail of my first
submission, and it got three... http://www.winamp.com/customize/detail.jhtml?componentId=17829

Of course there ARE a LOT of skins, so I
suppose they can't be expected to compare
each new one with all of the others, but
the two above mentioned are an obvious error
in reviewing...

The rip-off is so obvious! Are the skin reviewers effing blind? Besides, this is an "improved" rip-off, since Chrome 3D Duece is a so-called "improvement" of the Chrome 3D skin, which was the original rip-off. And the ugliest thing is what you can read in the info about the Chrome 3d Skin "my very first skin (...) bit sloppy..." Nice work man ! You must have had a really hard time designing that skin ! Simply disgusting...
