How do you make dials?

ok, i'm just wondering. How do make dials for the volume and sound balancing controls? I tried and I seriously blew it. if you could help me I'd apreciate it muchly.

I DLed one skin where the skinner tried it. It's possible for the Volume, but for balance you get a dial that will go from the right to the middle and then back to the right again. There is a cool skin called Unison that uses a combination of sliders and dials for the EQ. Try DLing it... although the PL buttons can be a bit of a pain with it (No labels)
