Aghhhhh thats not my skin!

Ive made a few skins and so far all that have been published look different in the preview....well they have parts of it blacked out like the window behind the numbers and some other places...But when i download them they look fine no black nuthin??? whats the problem???

That is an intensely cool skin, Xerxes. Have you done any other ancient cultures? Persia, perhaps? Actually, yes, you have... I DLed your even cooler Roman skin a while back...

The problem is that the lame-o they hired to write the module that creates the previews was a lame-o and it has a lot of errors. Check out my zombie skin, the damn thing stretches the resizable bits in the PL and MB making them distorted, instead of tiling them.

So there is an automated program. I knew it!
Personally i dont see why they dont make the
preview a LITTLE bit bigger and keep it at
the original size- since fine detailed artwork is often ruined by the resize.

As far as my skins go, I have only posted
two on Winamp.com, luxor and caesar. I was
thinking of departing from the ancient cultures theme for a bit and do a conan o brian skin next, BUT I would like to another
one of them. The problem is I am only truly "intimate" with egypt and classical
aesthetics as far ancient stuff goes. SO I will have have to research the next one if
I want to uphold the standard of detail and
intricacy I like.

Persia is an idea i didnt think of- I was
thinking of doing one based on the moorish
temple in cordoba spain myself. Or perhaps
a general muslim geometrical motif.... I was
thinking Feudal Japan but then there must be
some Anime skin that would have that. There
is already an exceptional Taj Mahal India one. Anyone have an ancient culture they would like to see?
