Hi again, one more question

Ok, what is up??? When i change a bitmap in photoshop it doesnt seem to have any effect, however if i do the same thing in "paint" it will change the skin.
I dont get it, what is up with that???

Make sure you save to bmp, 24 bit, and in the folder for the skin. Then hit f5, I use Photoshop, it works.

CARNEKID, do the following things:

1. Open Winamp

2. In Winamp, choose your skin (use Alt-S)

3. Open Photoshop

4. Open a .bmp file FOR YOUR SKIN in Photoshop, eg. titlebar.bmp

5. Scribble all over the bmp image using a 30-pixel airbrush on 100% opacity using the 'colour' WHITE

6. Hit Ctrl-S.

6 a. If this brings up a dialog box, hit "Esc" (the ESCAPE key), then hit Alt-F followed by 'Y', or go to File -> Save as Copy, then rename the bit in the "File Name" box to titlebar.bmp, hit OK, hit "Yes" to replace the old one, then hit OK to choose 24-bit.

7. Go back to Winamp (use Alt-Tab)

8. Hit F5

If your skin now has white gunk all over the main window, it's working. If it doesn't have white crap everywhere, then you stuffed up somehow. That is not my fault.

If you're still confused after this, the only thing left to do to remedy the situation is to take a 12-guage shotgun to the base of your skull.

I realise that this thread hadn't been added to in quite a while, but I do think that the advice I gave Carnekid here could help a lot of the people asking questions at the moment.
