Page not displaying

My radio is hosted by a site.
When i connect and DJ it all works perfect and the page
http://84.95.247.20:7100/
when i click that link it works for me
but whenever other trys it dont work? it says page cannot be displayed

Any ideas why this is?

Yeah, your router or firewall is not allowing it. You need to open and forward the ports.

So have you given your broadcasting PC a static IP?

If not, here is a picture-turorial, just select your OS:
http://www.portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm

Then once you have that done, go here and select your exact router:
http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm

Then on the next screen, scroll down the list and select "shoutcast"

In that case: No. The server that is hosting your station is the problem then. You said you can connect to it just fine? I can't.

Yeah i can connect to perfectly and it sends the data
the webpage works for me http://84.95.247.20:7100/
but when others click it it doesnt work.
It just says page cannot be displayed

Is the host aware of this problem?

Hmm well the host is www.listen2myradio.com they dont advise you to use ur own radio they want me to use the link www.birmz.listen2myradio.com which works perfect for people to listen to I was just trying to put stats on my own personal site for it

Also why does the URL http://84.95.247.20:7100/ work for me and noone else? does it work for you?

no it doesn't work for me. I have no clue why it works for you though. You have a shoutcast installed using that port?

Putting in http://84.95.247.20/ displays a message about the IP being shared, so connections are allowed in, but are you sure 7100 is the right port?

Nope i dont.. it could be i installed the radio from my PC or its becauseim connect ive no idea i suppose i'll just buy real hosting i can get it for 1.50 a month so i'll check that out thanks for all the help jeff great member of the forum

I can get 24 hour hosting for 3$ a month pretty cheap its from the owner of Habtips.com his radio is good holds 500 listeners and the speed is fast as anything.

this would work if you use their suggested link. A few hosts out there force people to stream in using their link as a form of advertising.
