View Full Version : Request for official protocol documentation

I am working with a firewall vendor. This Layer 7 Firewall has an http proxy that is filtering the "Status-Line: ICY 200" as an invalid HTTP response, since according to the RFC, it is an invalid response. I am searching for an official RFC or document, explaining the shoutcast protocol. I have read all the 3rd party pages with reverse engineered descriptions of the protocol. But my firewall vendor isnt interested in implementing support based on those documents.

I need to somehow get an official document from Shoutcast/Nullsoft explaining how the protocol works. I am sure the firewall vendor would sign an NDA if needed. Right now I just need to be pointed in a direction.

Does anyone know how I would go about getting an official document for the Shoutcast protocol?

Thank You.
