View Full Version : What's up with the directory?

Several times in the past couple of weeks I have had complaints from our streaming client saying that the directory is showing a song that we are not playing.

Tonight I finally saw it for myself. Both WinAmp and our administrator page show the correct song, but the directory shows a one that hasn't played for days, the same one every time the customer has complained.

I refreshed the browsers, and even did a new search in a different browser to make sure it wasn't a cache issue.

Then I did a new search on a different genre, and sure enough, of the 6 or 8 stations I randomly checked, all were playing different songs that what the directory showed.

What's going on?

You're welcome. That's the problem with forums like this, if I don't know how someone else described the problem, I can't find it in a search. I tried.

Thank you for your understanding.

This subject is covered at least three times in the list of recent posts - so there's not even a need to search!

As I said in another reply, gain extra exposure at:
http://www.streamfinder.com/index.php

for free or relay a stream to e.g. streamer or peercast.

ya ia a big pain in the ass!

I have two streams up and listed both mp3 and AAC+ , but some visitors to shoutcast.com get ZERO results. I just give them our link to our home page and dont use YP...

big sigh everyone...
