I don't know if anyone's seen their commercial, but there's a 15-second advertisement on TV for a product called "HeadOn"...The only thing about the commercial is that the fucking ad doesn't tell you anything about the product (Though I had to Google it to find it's a headache/migrane relief product)...Basically, the commercial goes:

"HeadOn, apply directly to the forehead
HeadOn, apply directly to the forehead
HeadOn, apply directly to the forehead
HeadOn, the product you apply directly to the forehead"

All while it shows a woman rubbing the product to her forehead...

It makes a good instructional video, should you buy the product...Now it'd be GREAT if people bought the product knowing what the FUCK the product IS!

UGH! It's only pissing me off because it's the most retarded brain-dead commercial advertisement I've seen on TV, and I've seen it a lot this weekend...

Normally, if a commercial doesn't tell me what the product is or does, then I won't ever bother buying/using it. If they want me to buy/use their product, then they can take the time to tell me what the hell it is.

I have every right to bitch about a product if their TV advertisements suck, and I've been proudly doing it since I started watching TV while posting on the Winamp Forums, THANK YOU!

:D

However you aren't the target audience so they really dont care if you 'get' the advert or not.

I saw the commercial the other day, and I was like "WTF, how many times do they have to say 'apply directly to the forehead' to get their point across?"

So I'm watching TV, and HeadOn comes again, but there's something new...

"New from the maker's of HeadOn; ActiveOn. For joint and arthritis pain; Apply directly where it hurts."

IT MAKES SENSE! THERE'S A PRODUCT DESCRIPTION!

There's also one that's just as irritating as the HeadOn ad, but still tells you what the fuck the product's for...

"Freedom from hemerroids, FREEdHEM hemerroid cream
Freedom from hemerroids, FREEdHEM hemerroid cream
Freedom from hemerroids, FREEdHEM hemerroid cream"

All this in some elaborate advertising scheme where you're annoyed past the brink of hell where you break out in hemerraging migranes that will bug the absolute shit out of you until you die!

...at least it's not as bad as the "Power Ballads" CD commericials... :D

At one point, CNN played that commercial three times back-to-back. I started laughing, and laughed until I stopped.

For anyone who is curious, there's this article in Slate (http://www.slate.com/id/2146382/?nav=tap3) about the commercial with a link to watch it if you are so inclined.

I agree with that article. It's making you go to their site and thats what you need.

There's a Boniva commercial (For brittle bone syndrome, I think), where the person in the ad talks about dealing with her problem...She sais something like "I need to deal with the problem head-on"...

Everytime I hear that, I shout "HeadOn, apply directly to the forehead!"

That commercial has deeply ruined my life like a horrible cult following... :blah:

Man, I was going to record myself screaming it quickly for you all but my mic/mixer is already packed up :(

I might buy my new camera today, if I do, I promise I'll go film myself in the walmart parking lot screaming "WACKY WAVING INFLATABLE ARMFLAILING TUBE MAN!". For small donations of course :p
