Allot of people from what I've read have been having problems with their site not listing in the shoutcast yellowpages.. Given that wasn't a big issue for me, but the same glitch also keeps my backup server from being relayed too. I mean it sees the stream, but when the main server is full it dosn't send anyone to the back.
SOOO!
I email my wonder tech support at OnAirRadio.com, and tell them I was told here at the forums that the only way to get my channel to relist is to change the base port and I even link them to the thread where this was discussed.
They tell me,
"Were updating the files. Bee done in another 24 hours."
to which I ask them what files, and tell them that as far as I know there is no fix and according to the people here, who are usually right on the money about these things there is only one way to fix the problem
They tell me
"We have our own scripts that control this. They will be updated."
I take them at their word and wait 48 hours, giving them twice the time I was told it would be fixed.
When I finally replied and asked them what scripts they were updating and that if they truely had something kind of fix they should share it I got this as a reply.
"The problem was fixed out of 60 people on that server your the only one having problems!"
Guess I'm the only one having the problem so I must not have any clue what I'm talking about beside the fact I could cut this out of my log evey couple of minutes
<06/14/06@22:11:53> [yp_tch] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
<06/14/06@22:11:53> [yp_tch] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (100)
So reply back and ask them exactly what scripts they updated and tell them that if they would take the time to read the thread I had linked them to here they would see what I was talking about and simply changing my port would fix it. If they could not fix it just to tell me they couldn't..
I got this as a reply.
Your account has been cancelled due to terms of service have been broken. Please don't contact us again! We use our own software for video!
Our own software for video? I was simply broadcasting an NSV shoutcast stream.. What the heck..
So the moral of this is stay clear of
OnAirRadio.com also known as internetradiopros.net
Horrible expierence with customer service.
