Everyone,

Before posting any more yp.shoutcast.com errors, or NAK 100 error, you may want to upgrade to version 1.97 of shoutcast server. It appears to help with the yp errors that are not caused by your firewall or port forwarding. It also fixes exploits related to /content (on demand streaming).

Please do not port 10 more thread complaining about yp.shoutcast.com, or nak 100, or not being listed. There are hundreds of new posts a week from a new person that hasnt read the forum, you MUST read the sticky post and read the forum rules.

Just because you think you have everything working, check your LOGS (the default is sc_serv.log) located in the same directory as sc_serv.exe or sc_serv (linux/UNIX/MacOS).

We in the forum can not fix shoutcast.com listing you, but we know what causes it.

- firewalls
- port forwarding not working.
- Shoutcast.com having too many users connecting with new streams.
- Your stream not staying connected. you are removed the second you stop broadcasting.
- You were banned (see your logs!! , dont assume you were banned if you are not listed).
- You marked your stream as non-public (Public=Never, or no tick nark in yellow pages of winamp DSP).
- You didnt name your station again in the yellow pages of the winamp DSP (setting)
- You didnt read anything on this forum.

5' pea to everyone to each new post related to yp, or not listed, or noobs. I will be up to 1 millions poonds by the weekend. :) just kidding, please please please READ the forums posts. its a simple as clicking on SEARCH, or looking at the posts marked STICKY (first page). You dont need to read 200 pages of posts to find out you are not the only one that didnt get it working the first time.

The new version did not help my NAK 100 error. Everything checks out fine, been streaming with Shoutcast for over 5 years now. Just waiting for someone to cure the NAK 100 problem for my relay station.

This is realy bulls**t, some ports index yp.shoutcast.com, and some no, personal i think shoutcast make this special to affect Streaming Providers, is incredibile, this problem is from more then 4 weeks, and nobody don't fix it. Is true, this services is free, but is not accurate to make something like this, if is what i think.
I check the logs, all the time Shoutcast touch the server, but don't index all the time.

Most of my relays are smalltime or otherwise setup by friends with the bandwidth. So it's not anyone doing anything specific to lock people out. I think it just comes down to Shoutcast not being a priority to anyone that can do much about it.

I know that several larger streams using shoutcast are not very happy, but the push down multiple server information in their PLS files, so even if the yp is down they still get 1000s of listeners.
