I've been at this for weeks now and have trwaled the forums to no avail, people seem to be asking quesstions that are many steps down the line and I can't even get my server installed yet!
I am willing to pay for support if someone will help.
I am using Mac OSX streaming from Niceast which was the easy part but need to use Shoutcast server as I will use Stream Solutions who do not support Nicecast. Have broadcast from Nicecast's own server no problem but cannot get started with Shoutcast's server. Have downloaded the server and unzipped leaving me with three files:
README.TXT
sc_serv
sc_serv.conf
Where do I put these files??
The READ.ME says:
Unix versions: Use gunzip and tar to decompress and extract the necessary
binaries for your particular operating system. When complete, you should
have three files: the server binary, server config file, and this readme.
Make certain the server is chmod u+x, and that the config file is readable
by the user you want to run the server as. The server does *not* need to
be run as root, unless you want to use port numbers below 1024 to serve
SHOUTcast audio streams.
Sorry but this is beyond me!!
Haven't even got as far as configuration yet.
Can anyone help (paid of course)?
Regards.
