Ok I know this sounds reaaaaly stupid at first glance, but bear with me here...

Last week 7 Bamboo (place I work at) bought 16 RGB DMX controlled LED lights. We also got this (http://www.eliminatorlighting.com/product.asp?ProductIDNumber=57&cat=Controllers%20and%20Accessories) DMX light controller. The really cool thing is it has a midi in port.

Sunday a few of us were messing around with it. I brought in an old yamaha keyboard, and started turning lights on and off with it. Our winamp/karaoke machine has an Emu 1820m sound card with midi out on it.

So hopefully yall see where this is leading :)

I'd like some DSP to analyze the wave/mp3 and convert it to midi to control the lights in the club. Maybe i'm looking for some sort of a vis, I dunno.

I know about stuff like discolitez, but I'd rather just use the midi/dmx combo I have laying around here instead of soldering something together.
