Okey , so i got an basic idea of everything (took me quite the time though) .

Anyway , the problem is that when i start the "server" it says That the port is already being used by some other process. Wich ultimatly leads to that people that tries to tune in , get's timed out when they try to join. :mad:

I'm sorry if my english is abit rusty :confused:


Anyway , you would make my day if you knew how to fix this.

1) Make sure only one instance of the shoutcast software is running

2) SrcIP=ANY and DestIP=ANY in the config file (always)

This happend when i did as you said , but my friend that tried to connect is gettin timed out still.. Am i missing something?

No - That's a perfect logfile. Make sure your friend gets your public IP (http://www.whatismyip.com)

Nice job - You got a server up and running without 50 posts on the forums. That seems rare these days. Well done!

People still get timed out (got around 5 different people trying) the only thing that says in my consol is : <07/28/06@14:39:28> [yp_tch] yp.shoutcast.com touched!
Wich sounds promesing , but they still get disconnected .

And yes i use my real IP 81.234.86.221:8000

This is making me frustrade :(

Post your station name. If it's listed in th YP, we can see it there and look at the raw playlist file.

maybe people are getting timed out as you do not have the bandwidth available to stream for all of them

what bitrate have you chosen and how many listeners.

what upstream do you have available?

well there is no shoutcast DNAs at http://81.234.86.221:8000 as of right now uanble to connect. times out etc

are you only broadcasting or testing for a few minutes a day?

or does your IP address change often, which would lead to disconnects, then people not fining you because your IP address is no longer 81.234.86.221
