It would be best if winamp would have a audio converter integrated within it,Which can convert your audio files to the desired format from the playlist [just like the transcoder plugin,it has too many glitchs].For people like me, who wants to conserve disk space by converting from MP3 to the latest AAC+ It is the only option. I have around more than 2000 songs in my collection & with mp3 a good portion of disk space is gone. And ofcourse i want to encode my files with winamp AAC+ encoder, since It's the best i encounterd.
So guys what you say????
Are you with Me????

Can also use the Output plugin packed with Winamp called "Nullsoft Disk Writer"

You can choose your output codec. Just load all your mp3's in the playlist and press play... and prepare to wait.. long time. This works with videos aswell if you wan't to extract the audio from it.

Yeah, but this just work with the installed ACM codecs on your Windows system. ;)

Thanks, I do know that.... But As i said earlier, I need to convert to WINAMP AAC+. I think Its better than NERO 7 at low bitrates , such as 40 Kbps...... If winamp was integrated with the encode facility, we does'nt have to depend up on a thirdparty plugin like transcoder. I am using Transcoder V2 now, but i think it will also come up with new gliches in future just like transcoder v0.6 did?????

Will (ml_pmp & transcoder author) is first-party, ie. a Nullsoft coder, not 3rd-party.
Transcoder 2.0 is actually designed to work best with Winamp 5.25,
and it works even better with the latest internal build (not public yet).
(eg. ogg to anything doesn't work with the current public beta, and there's a few problems with wma and wav conversions).
Also, Transcoder 2.0 might well be included with the default Winamp 5.25 distro...
we shall see.
