I have been trying several different ways to search for an answer to this question but no luck this time.

I am using my home PC to streaming music for my pizza place but I would like to be able to either edit or play different music on the same PC without having it heard over the streaming. I think if I choose WINAMP as my input source for my Shoutcast Source then I can play other stuff locally and not have it go out on the stream?. If that is the case then great but now I wanna mute the streaming locally only and not at the pizza place.

I hope that makes sense if not I know someone will ask ;).

Thanks for this forum it has been a great source.

You need something more than just winamp. You need a system with two soundcards, and using something like SAM2 broadcaster or traktor DJ,or other DJ tools so you can CUE up the sound. Winamp along isnt going to cut it.

You need either 2 soundcards, or a soundcard with multiple inputs made for DJing so you can CUE and play at the same time but not mix the audio together.

If you want to try it with just winamp, you would have to run multiple copies of winamp, one with the DSP running, and one without and only have it in WINAMP mode (not soundcard mode). So either the way you need multi software or hardware solutions to make it easier.

Cheers.
