I have recently setup streaming for a live 24hour radio broadcast station, and I have built an ASX file for shear convienence. The ASX file runs fine on my test Windows 2000 server host, but the permanante site is on a a shared Linux hosting server and it dfoes not work - It only display the TEXT content of the ASX file!! Any idea for a work around for this, besides moving the ASX file to a Windows Server?

If your asx file is showing up as a text file - this would suggest that your server does not have the correct mime types set up.

Ask your host to add the mime types for asx to the server for you.

you can add the mime types using .htaccess if your web host had AllowOverride for your vhost.

use search in this forum "htaccess asx"
