All thats happening is when I'm doing a search for
my songs on the search bar.........after a few tries
or even after a dozen tries and error comes up and
winamp crashes.

Error Signature:
AppName:winamp.exe
AppVer:5.3.0.920
ModName:ntdll.dll
ModVer:5.1.2600.2180
offset:00010f29 (this changes on every crash)

I also can repeat this process on a Dell computer
that I use at work when I DJ and it crashes also
and its a low end computer.

Hope this helps and you can find the problem.

Hi. Where are you searching exactly?
In the Search bar at the top of the Media Library > Local Media > Audio view?
Or in the Jump to File window via Playlist > J ?
Or elsewhere?

If in Local Media > Audio, please confirm that you've installed the Winamp 5.3a Update Pack which includes an update ml_local.dll
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=256711
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=256207#update

Alas, we can't reproduce the problem.
Could you also provide some examples of what you're typing into the Search field?

I was using the search in the media library.

Basically after using the search over and over again
it exits the program with that error....
I've had it happen on both my home and Work computer
and both are completely different computers.

I'm not sure if it locks up because their are to many songs in the list that comes up when searching so it shuts down or what the problem is.....I've got over 5,000 songs.
