How do i assign a name to the server on a local machine?

I got the server setup as far as i know, but now i have to turn it on. I can get to the administration page, but it says the "Server is currently down". How do i turn it on?.

Well i got the server working and my nsv file servered. How do i get listed in the tv listings on winamp. Also how do i rename the server or give a discription of the server? How do i make playlists and have the server continuously stream through them.

NSV Header TXT must be modified.

How do i make playlists and have the server continuously stream through them.
You can use the command line option. This will automatically generate a rotating playlist.

How do i set a nullsoft server up through ftp onto a paid for host? My connection is slow.

if you mean a standard webhost then it is not possible.
unless of course you have ssh access.
its better to pay a company who provide shoutcast hosting.

Do you know of any? How do you do yours? Do you host it off a home machine or do you pay someone?

i used to pay someone now i have my own servers
(which i still pay for) because it cuts out the middle man.
But first its best to start with a shoutcast hosting
company.As stated above visit http://www.radiotoolbox.com/hosts
but be warned only choose from the top 6 of the list
and be prepared to pay more for good services.
There is a company called "stream".. something.. that offer
great "solutions" in the uk,they are well worth a look.:D
