Hello

I've installed sc_trans on a suse linux root server.
Shoutcast server is already running, but i've some problems with sc_trans

I've edited the configuration file, i've used this german tutorial to configure sc_trans (scroll down):
http://www.gentoo.de/doc/de/shoutcast-config.xml

I get this Warnings:

<11/05/06@22:33:46> [DECODE] Opened Moonbootica - Bulldog Beats.mp3
<11/05/06@22:33:46> [STREAM] Creating stream socket

I have tried different mp3s from 128kbp up to 192kbps with a sample rate from 44100hz, but it's still the same error.

Can someone help me?

Thx

Dont worry about these warnings, your stream will be fine i
always get these warnings just some strange bug in sc_trans.
Just ignore them.

okay

but sc_trans takes 3 minutes to connect to the stream then it says can't connect retry in 10s and so on

The sc_serv is running and the ip, port and password is written correctly in the config file.

if sc_trans is on the same server as shoutcast dnas
use 127.0.0.1 in sc_trans config and check your firewall
config to make sure the local loopback is setup correctly.
just check the route between sc_trans and sc dnas if that is ok then i dont know how to help.

Normally its ok to ignore those errors however
<11/05/06@22:33:46> Warning: input file samplerate is 1073886268 Hz, must be 44100!
<11/05/06@22:33:46> Warning: input file samplerate is 1073886268 Hz, must be 44100!
<11/05/06@22:33:46> Warning: input file samplerate is 1073886268 Hz, must be 44100!

1073886268 Hz sounds like a corrupt mp3 header.

It would be normal to see something like 22050HZ, 11050HZ etc, but not that large of a number.

yes but this error seems to have no effect on the stream.
sc_trans i think only gives this error when you
dont include the first playlist item twice, well thats the only
time i see it anyway.
