Hey there. I'm a musician in NYC. I'll be doing some live streaming shows with my band on Second Life. Obviously, I need a Streaming SHOUTcast Server. Doing my own isn't an option, as the club I'll be playing at requires the stream to be at 96khz and we'll get quite a few listeners. (room for 40 at least, if not more...) I don't have that kind of bandwidth in my studio with my crappy DSL connection. However, renting that kind of bandwidth is quite expensive. If I'm only doing 1 or two 3 - 4 hour shows a month, it's not cost effective for me to rent a full time server by the month.

Does anyone rent by the day or by the hour?

If answers would be considered advertising here... uh, can someone point me in the right direction to get more info?

thanks.

www.radiotoolbox.com/hosts

contact the providers and see if you work out a deal.

i believe fast serv does bandwidth on tap which may be more suitable for your needs.
