i m wondering if i can received shoutcast stream from a set top box so i dun hav to use my pc to do so. if someone hav posted this b 4 pls direct me to the post..thanks

most can. As long as the stream is not aac+

Yes - I purchased one of the excellent Roku Soundbridge (think the company has just changed names) - it's a set top box (if you want to call it that) - effectively a standalone internet radio player - it works via our wireless router - and connects to the internet without needing to go through a PC etc.

Look up Rokulabs in Google etc and you'll find their site.

Excellent piece of kit - looks great too.

any current set top boxes can do this. what you need to look for it compatability with mp3's. But, like I said, I do not know of a single box that can not play mp3's.

I agree. The Soundbridge is a great player.
