Three questions:

1. In my sc_serv.ini, I've kept port:8000, but when I run DNAS(GUI), I read these lines:

[main]initializing <usermax:32 portbase:8000>
[...]
[source] listening for connection on port 8001

What does it mean?

2. I have the SAME password in my sc_serv.ini and in the Winamp plug-in, but when I click "connect" I read "invalid password!"

3. I can't "kill" the server, because I don't have a menu, only a kind of "DOS" screen (even that icon similar to the Winamp's doesn't exist). I had a radio with Shoutcast 2 years ago... and I remember there was "a little" different.

1. 8001 is the port the server listens to for "commands" from the source (as well as the stream you're sending i think.)... this is normal, but you don't need to know about this, keep using port 8000 on the source.

2. Make sure the password is "changeme" in the source.

3. You have installed the command line console. You'll need to re-install the server and choose GUI Version for the "kill" button. (i have no idea how to end it on the command line)

Good Luck!

1. THX a lot.

2. The password is not "changeme" but "adminpass"

3. When I installed the server, I checked both GUI AND console. So I have 2 options to turn on the server. But when I click GUI or CONSOLE I see the same thing (well, the only difference is the window title: (GUI) or (Console). lol. Do you think I must re-install and NOT to check for Console but ONLY to GUI?

you kill the server by closing it on a windows box.

even the dos looking box (console) if you close it with the red X in the corner it kills the server.

There are TWO passwords in the server, on for the stream and one for the ADMIN. Make sure you are using the correct one, and that is does NOT start with a ;, because an ; means IGNORE THIS LINES ITS A COMMENT FOR YOU TO READ.

adminpass sounds like the password to get into the web admin pages and not to stream/serv.
