View Full Version : WinAmp Crashes When MP3 Player Unplugged

I'm using WinAMP v5.32.

Here is the situation:
I am listening to MP3s that are on my hard drive and I plug in an MP3 player via USB for the sole purpose of charging it.

When the player is done being charged, if I remove it from the USB slot (without doing a "safe" remove), WinAMP crashes even though I did not manually use it to access anything on that MP3 player. I realize this could be because it noticed the player being plugged in and can utilize such devices, however, it should probably gracefully let it go if it's unplugged.

Thanks.

Oh, and why is it I have to register to report a bug? That has stopped me numerous times from reporting things.

I cannot reproduce any crash here, when i removed my USB MP3 player.

Maybe there is a conflict with another plug-in.

Please provide more infos (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=161361) including a my_plugin_list.txt.

I guess spam is one of the main reasons. ;)

That has stopped me numerous times from reporting things. that's just how it is since due to the popular nature of this forum guest posting just isn't safe due to all of the spamming, etc that can happen (and still does despite the whole sign-up process)
