View Full Version : Searching Media Library not possible

Since I installed v5.33 I cannot search the complete Media Library, I type in something, but after a short tip showing "scanning" there is never a result. This affects only the search function of the whole library.

When I search only inside the Audio files, Winamp finds the file.

Sorry, but we cannot reproduce this.

Strange enough: when I type in only one letter, the search brings up a result, for example when I type only in the letter w it founds: Al Wilson, Stevie Wonder, etc.

But when I type in the second letter, for example o, then nothing is shown (Stevie Wonder should be one result...)

i was able to reproduce this when a Media Library view is set to Simple filters. the Local Media view never properly returns search results either.

Strange. Definitely can't reproduce the problem here.

It happens to me too with 5.33. Searching Audio works fine but Video or Local Media always shows up no results. I tried clearing out and re-importing the media data, but no change.

There are now at least 3 threads with this bug - can you melt them together and tell us if the bug is fixed?

It was a Win2k-specific bug.

Fixed in 5.34 (currently available as a public beta):
