Reduce the stream from 192k to something else.

Yeah man 192k is OVERKILL. You can get CD quality with 64k AACPLUS encoding. Or near CD sound with 96k mp3. And 128 is pretty much as good as it gets for most internet radio streams unless of course you got more money than brains.

i would do a speed test here http://www.speedtest.net

and calculate what you can handle by using this calculation

upload / bitrate = max users

and if it is not enough for your needs consider using a host for your station and these can be found here

http://www.radiotoolbox.com/hosts

It on 128 kb/s 44.100KHz, Stereo and it still buffers alot!

176 / 128 = 1.375 listeners.

i would recomend you put your hand in your pocket and pay for some hosting. http://www.radiotoolbox.com/hosts

or you could use, 176 / 24k = 7.3 listeners

Will puttin it on 24kps,22.050KHz,mono reduce the time on buffering, alot better then b4?

yes but will be very low quality.

you may want to look at aac as previously mentioned.

it has ups and downs.

it sounds better at lower bitrates but not socially accepted as yet by the masses.

I put it on 48kbps on stereo n ppl sed it was worst at buffering then when it was on 192kbps stereo!

Nick@ss

it will be if there are more than

176/48= 3.6 people listening.

So my best bet wud b to keep an eye on ppl listening, and change it when needed to, don't want to go on mono cus of bad quality!

If thats the way you want to go then it is an option,

However everytime you change bitrates all your listeners would need to restart and all your liteners would be dropped.

So reali my only option is the mono 1?

try it and see what you think,

it is your decision and your listeners opionion is more important than mine,

stereo or mono will not affect how many people can listen and the calculations above still stand.

Yeh, its sounds ok, if it stops ppl complaining about buffering it will do! :)

Many Thanks for your help!
