I'm running shoutcast on a lan at work, sometimes a person will come by and shut off the server. How can I make it so it won't show up in the tray? I'm not running NT so I can't use it as a service. Any ideas?

Thanks

if there isn't an option to turn off the icon (i haven't used shoutcast in a long time, so i can't remember) i can show you how to edit the registry to run the server as a service in win9x.

Awesome!! So how do you do it? I didn't know that 9x used services.

Thanks

hkey-localmachine-software-microsoft-windows-currentversion-runservices. just add an entry that runs the server. (i don't have win9x anymore, so i hope i remembered the key correctly)
