I am in charge of My school's radio station that currently is broadcasting on the internet via REAL AUDIO. I would like to know how I can get it broadcasting through Shoutcast. Is there any software I need to buy? Do all I need is Winamp? If all I need is winamp how can I have it start in codeing? Can Shoutcast work with a Live Broadcast or does it have to be converted to mp3? Can I have Both Real Server and Shoutcast broadcasting at the same time? I know those are a lot of questions all at once but It would be very helpful if someone could answer some or all of them for me.
Thank you Very much,
Have a nice Day http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/smile.gif

John, Although I am not to up to date on ShoutCast I know a few people that are, check out the site: http://www.shoutclub.com/help/shoutcast/
it should help answer your questions and if not there are some messageboards over there ran by casters so they should be of some tremendous help.

SHOUTcast is streaming mp3, so yes it does need to be converted to mp3 before sending.. I am not real sure, but i think that it is done real easy with the shoutcast plugin for winamp.
