Apparently this is the only way to contact winamp. I am offended by use of the term "ass" in the logo. it is unprofessional and dsiruptive - especially when used in professional and educational settings. Use of this logo and placement of it in an audio format renders use of the winamp product unfit for classrooms and other forums where use of the term "ass" is not permitted. Please find another logo/slogan or at a minimum remove the term "ass". Or at a bare minimum remove the audio of the slogan from your products to prevent its playing into forums where the language is unfit. Thanks

Your nickname alone is offensive. Pack your drugs and go away. Thanks.

i like the slogan! it is the slogan for years now!
and if you know winamp's history you'll understand!

and for all those who ban sites by words - i can only say that the winamp site is Labeled with ICRA (see footer)

herbalife.
u do have a point but it is not hard to remove the winamp intro so you would only have the text version.
in australia we are pretty easy so it would not be seen as offensive, especially because it is spelt wrong for us..lol.

I don't like your chances of getting something like that changed as it is part of Winamp's history but good on you for pointing it out.

herbalife:
What's wrong with ass? It's the common name equus asinus also known as a donkey. The animal was knwon as an ass long before that became a word for the buttocks (oh noes, another offensive word) or someone like you. There are far worse things to worry about in class rooms than the word ass. Don't use Winamp if you think it will traumatise the poor sheltered little children.

martin.deimos:
Labelled with ICRA
Sorry, no ICRA labels were found at http://www.winamp.com/

The Internet Content Rating Association (ICRA)...
It seems that the site is no longer labeled, what the hell that mean, I have no clue.

The irony of Captain Herbalife complaining that things aren't kosher. Oh, this kills me. I love hypocrites.

The very name "WINAMP" offends military polices, as it suggests that MPs should be won, and that it's a good thing. Besides, the slogan further calls MPs Llamas, and commands to whip their ass. Hence, Winamp cannot be used on military installations.

Seriously though, I can see why the poor teacher wants the slogan removed. Herbalife(TM) cannot change their school system and their in my opinion hypocratical morals. Let Herbalife(TM) then have a customized version, if he wants to do it.

Did someone not state that the mp3 file can be deleted? How hard is that? Surely they don't go to every machine and run the installer, that would be a waste of time. It's not hard coded into Winamp and will play everytime you open Winamp. Now that would be good, a bit of music to go with the splash screen.

I remember getting blasted with that thing the first time I installed Winamp. It was a "damn, I hope this doesn't happen every time I open it" moment.

It is a little aggravating (and LOUD) if you're not expecting it.

We all have one ass and we're ashamed of it? Oh dear. I'm a proud owner of my own ass!

Actually, if you wanna be reeeeeeally technical about it, an "ass" is a donkey. An "arse" is your butt. British spelling still maintains the difference between the two. Only in American spelling has the spelling of "arse" mutated and is now spelling the same as "ass". So "ass" is a homograph (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homograph) in American English, and whether it means donkey or anus would depend on the context. And of course, if you were British (I guess you're not), then you'd think that we're talking about a llama who owns a pet donkey and who is also into BDSM. :D

(and no, I'm not British)
