Shoutcast mixer issues

hello, why can't i open the mixer on the shoutcast server when doing my radio shows? i cannot even be on the same switch while talking and playing music..does this have anything to do with having windows vista and if so, will there be a download or patch available in the near future so i can open the mixer and use the mic on the same input as the music instead of switching back and forth which freezes up my shoutcast in the middle of my shows and have to reboot which leads to dead air..

vista seems to have a few mixer issues and i havent seen an answer for it yet :(
