Am using winamp 5.33.
When I start to rip, the media library indicates that the ripping is proceeding fine. But when it's finished, there is never any files in the output directory.
What's going on?
thanks

Hello Rocker,
thanks for the response.
MP4/accPlus (HE-AAC) Encoder v1.24 64kbps/stereo
and
MP3 Encoder v1.32; mode VBR new/joint stereo, vbr min bitrate 32, max bitrate 96, quality normal
Output is DirectSound output v2.46(d) out_ds.dll
On a separate computer I am able to get winamp 5.32 to rip properly. BTW, both installations are properly registered.

Is there a resolutuion to this? I'm having the same problem.
I paid for winamp pro, ver 5.32. I'm using the MP3 encoder, CBR, 320 - same symptom, looks as if it's ripping, but not MP3 file results. It does make the artist dir that the files should be in, and it creates the play list... it just doesn't make the MP3 file. The ripping is also slow - about 3x. THese symptoms lead me to think winamp was not the pro version - but the options page says valid 5.x registered version.

have you tried the --alt-preset-standard settings?
have you put in a valid path for winamp to place the mp3's?
check the naming convention for ripped tracks and the destination.

More info -
-- preset makes no difference, still no mp3 file generated
-- file name is set to <Artist> \<Album>\## - <Title>
-- yes, it's a valid path and the Artist dir is created in the path, but not the album dir or the mp3 files
-- Ripping is a max of 5x even though the spee option is set to unlimited

I tried a deinstall and reinstall - still have the same problem. I also tried to do an install on a 2nd PC - that produced the same problem on the 2nd PC also.
I gotta believe that winamp pro does make mp3 files for most users and therefore assume I'm doing something odd, but I don't know what.... help appreciated.
