I have the plug-in properly installed and a nice little server set up but my friend can't log on to it.
His winamp prebuffers to 20% and logs off.
Any suggestions?

Other Q's:
-What address should I write in the SHOUTcast source? ("localhost" or my IP)
-What do I use the Netshow Encoder for? I've read through the dsp_read.txt but I don't see what I should use that program for http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/tongue.gif

are you able to listen to your broadcast? is it only him at his pc or does everyone get that issue?

The Netshow encoder basically installs the 128kpbs codec (i believe) and allows you to broadcast at rates above 56Kpbs. If your server is on the same pc as the broadcast then you'd use "localhost". you can use IP addy and it'll do the same thing.

oops, after reading that again, the "encoder" i'm not sure what it does. the netshow tools is what installs the higher codecs. i hope that's what you were referring to

Netshow only encodes 56kbps and lower.

People couldn't log on to my server because I forgot to ad the portnumber in the address :P
