It depends on your connection speed. The higher the better. 33.6 will only get you 1 good station. (24kbps - if it can hold that) And unless you have a relay server somewhere for people to connect to you will only be able to serve to 1 person at that rate.

I was just wondering.. I am setting up a radio station and I want to have multiple dj's connect to my server, but it seems like I can only get one to connect. How would I go about messing with it, if possible, do get multiple dj's playing/speaking?
And about speaking, I try and run the liverec:// using winamp and stream it to my server, but no one can hear me talking.. What gives? That's what it says to do in the readme file given with the liverec plugin

Each server can be reached by one IP address. My show,Dexter's Radio Show, can be reached at 24.20.2.100:8000 .However,my ISP has only given me one IP address. Therefore,to be able to run another show,or server,I need another IP address. So if you want to fork out a little extra cash for another IP address, just talk to your ISP.
Having both servers run at the same time however is another question I can't answer.I hope I helped you out though.

not true, you do not have to have more IP addresses to run more than one server.
all you do is setup another directory for SHOUTcast with another INI file and configure it to run on another port other than the one you are using now. So if you were running a server on port 8000 just set the second install to 8002.
Why Not 8001, because that port is being used by SHOUTcast for the source of the first SHOUTcast install. SHOUTcast uses a total of 2 ports not just one.
