Ok, first post on here. If your like me and cannot figure something out, and you have to go to work or something and have to leave the problem, it KILLS you. so heres my problem.
I need an embedded flash player to play my live stream. I found a program that does it called "minicaster" however in the xml file it gives it has the mounting point of your stream. and when I put in "http://www.technoitradio.com:8000" it gives me nothing. in their support page it says
"A Shoutcast station without a folder in the URL refuses to permit connections from Minicaster. To test this, try opening the station URL in your browser directly. If you see a status page, then Minicaster cannot play that stream."
http://www.draftlight.net/dnex/mp3player/support/minicaster.php
so I am trying to figure out how to get the shoutcast to broadcast to www.technoitradio.com/live instead of www.technoitradio.com:8000
Like I said prolly a really simple fix, I just cannot figure it out for the life of me! everything I mess with in the server file results in a non connection manner.
PLEASE HELP!
