Winamp is a fabulous program and I want to pay for it. I want to pay US$ 19.95 which is very good value. Unfortunately your web site knows that I'm "calling" from Canada and only offers me a price in Can$ -- $26.95. Did you know that the Can$ is now worth MORE than the US$? You should be offering a discount, not demanding a premium at this point! You will be losing any new Canadian customers. Why can't the rest of the world simply pay in US$ and let our credit card companies deal with the exchange?
I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this but I'm very eager to get a reply from a real person at winamp and this seemed to be the only way to do it.
Cheers,
Rob.

No idea, I'd have assumed the excess is due to additional taxes/service charges by the payment processing party. Of course, like you say, credit card companies will happily convert for you, and usually at a better rate.

But I'm not given the CHOICE of paying in US$... As your web site is set up now, nobody from Canada will buy Winamp. How do I contact a real person at Winamp who cares about their bottom line? It looks like DigitalRiver is ripping both me and winamp off at this point... It's nuts because if your price was $27US I'd probably pay that happily but I'm not going to pay this ridiculous Can$ price when I know all I should be paying is $19.95 US....

Trying to contact DigitalRiver is like trying to pick up spilled mercury...
