$hadow PT

I searched the forum for this but i didnt find it so heres my suggestion. Its not a biggie but its something that i would like to have, its an option that allows the user to choose if winamp loads with the same skin, or change it everytime it loads sequentially or a shuffle alike load skin, so everytime this option is enable and winamp is opened, a different skin is loaded.

this is not exactly what you are asking for, but try this.

winamp 2.5 did it as I recall... I´m not sure if winamp 5 does it, but if it does its only with classic skins.

There is a very old 3rd-party authored plugin that will randomize skins only at Winamp startup (which is exactly what $hadow PT is looking for), and that old plugin is still available...
Skin Randomizer (http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details/96361)

this plugin randomizes skins, i didn't like the way that winamp does it, do i did it my self, mainly to implement subsets. so now you can have winamp randomize through the skins that you want to, and only at startup, not every time you hit play.
if you change the number of skins in your skin dir, the plugin will reset.

My findings (Pros and Cons)... Pro: I just tested it personally with Winamp 5.52 and it does exactly what the author stated above Con: It only works with classic skins, so it won't even list any of your modern (.wal) skins in it's options and only lists the classic (.wsz) skinsNow... if you want to try and contact the author to see if he ever updated the plugin to support modern skins, then be my guest and, good luck finding him! ;)
Here's an old email link for the author (to help you get started)...
e-mail: esoterik_@hotmail.com
Note: That's the only plugin that I personally know of. So if anybody else knows of another with modern skin support, then go ahead and pop right in here!
