Simple bug, reproduced on multiple PC's so I won't post hardware specs, all PC's running Windows XP SP2 + all updates.

Winamp 5.52

Bug: If you select the second file or playlist icon (second one down from the top) in Preferences>File Types menu, it will not display in Windows Explorer when it is set in "List" or "Details" view.

Instead, explorer will display the old school Winamp blue wave file type icon for both files and playlists. Seems like a Winamp registry bug since this problem was reproduced on multiple PC's. Remember this is only for "List" or "Details" views in Explorer, not "Thumbnails" or any other.

Hmm, I'm not sure what you mean exactly,
but these are the expected/relevant icons from winamp.exe

When you select the winamp logo icon for either file or playlist icon in winamp preferences>file types, that icon will not actually show up in windows explorer when windows explorer is set to view files in "List" or "details" view. Instead, the icon you attached last (the one that looks like a wave) will appear in it's place.

That's expected behavior. Since with the tiny 16x16 icon, you really can't get the Winamp logo clearly, so it switches to the wave thing.

Oh. Lol. Thanks, thought that may have been a bug.
