:winamp: hi ive just put the new winamp version in comeing up from version 5.50 to 5.52 and dont no how to access the built in surround sound feature as it says the new version has this can some 1 explain how to do this please thx.

It's the same as it was in 5.5. Check, "Allow Surround" in Prefs -> Playback and then make sure you haven't altered your sound card setting saying that you have a surround setup.

i only have 2.1 pc speakers i dont have surround sound ones getting some soon that box is checked the surround one. so would i notice the diffrence with 2.1 also use 24 bit is checked to and the slider bar is at the highest what ever that means. and box called dither what ever that is is checked to.

You need a 5.1 or 7.1 speaker setup first.
Surround Sound cannot/doesn't work with 2.1 speakers.
Also note that Surround Sound means that files encoded in Surround Sound (eg. 5.1 channel wav, aac, wma, ogg, mp3 files) will play in 5.1 Channel format.
It doesn't mean that it makes 2-channel stereo files play as Surround Sound.
Multi-speaker Output and Surround Sound are two entirely different things.

:) thx for the help regarding surround sound 5.1 goona change the pc speakers using creative 2.1 at the moment will now upgrade them same as my hi fi thx guys.
