I'm working on a 56k modem, which for streaming audio means either one or two listeners, or really crappy quality as far as I can work out.
Does anyone know if there's anywhere I can run a remote server, with greater bandwith that I have here?
Thanks

so let me get this straight. These guys will host my server. I send my stream from my pc to them on my 56k modem, and they distribute the stream to whoever wants it over a faster connection?
Another question. Which bitrate do I use to work out how many listeners my broadcast can handle? Right now it's set on
"16 KBit/s 11,025 Hz Mono 2KB/s"
is it 16 or 2?

I use live365.com but the only problem is that your broadcast will only be listed on their directory. What I do is serve a couple streams locally and use Live365 to relay (not serve directly). You will see that in the Live365 website options.
By the way there are 8 bits in a byte.
