Here's Mine: OS=Windows XP Home [v2002/sp1]

I guess the options (inputs) and tags may be related to the soundcard (hardware), so it's a SoundMAX Digital Audio, integrated in the motherboard on a Dell Dimension 2350.

Thanks spinner,

out of interest did you ever get that card to stream mic and audio from wave out?

i have always seen lots of problems in these forums with this card?

The "Wave Out" selection effectively means the old "What U Hear", or the newer "Speaker Output" -- that means that when selected in the record mixer, the output mixer's inputs control the "recorded" stream sent to the DSP by WinAMP in soundcard mode. In this mode, the auto dimmer in push to talk works sometimes (and uses a lot of CPU), but it totally depends upon the settings (levels) of the output/playback mixer channels except for the master volume, so you have to use headphones to avoid feedback and keep both mixers visible. Track titles (from WinAmp MP3 sources) work btw in this mode.

When the push to talk is not working right (it sometimes works exactly opposite of the way it should), it's difficult to manually dim one input slider while adding gain to another at the same time as you can with a real mixer since your PC only has one finger (called a mouse pointer, or TAB key), and you have five (oops, ten) :) -- well, someday MS may add at least a binary crossfader "control" that can be configured for two specific inputs that could make push to talk a mousewheel scroll away -- heck, they do have a "media center" version of XP [LMFAO - couldn't help that MS bash, reminds me of the old days, LOL :)]
