nsvcap not working with ffdshow -> help plx

hello there,

i got ffdshow working with the media player classic. opening the cam as device or even another mpeg-movie.

the ffdshow icon appears everytime... but
if a start nsvcap, no icon , no functionality, nothing!

-> why does the webcam work in media player classic?


i searched the whole internet for serveral houres,
please help me.


btw: all codecs where set to libavcodec. dv and other dv too!
iam using logitech quickcam deluxe for notebooks.

nsvcap doesn't need ffdshow ...

what do you mean by "no icon, no functionality, nothing" when you start nsvcap? does nsvcap even run?

of course, nsvcap does not need ffdshow - but i like to run ffdshow in nsvcap. all right? its a way to modify the signal with picture overlays or other filters.

if ffdshow is running, its icon appears in the tastbar. it does in media player classic, but not in nsvcap.

Do you have that setting enabled in the ffdshow VFW configs
isn't nsvcap like all the other old nsv packages in that it
uses the older VFW interface rather the Directshow interface?.

i used the vfw configs and video decoder config interface and set up both - all codecs in the right way?

no, i choose no limits while installing ffdshow.



btw: iam using ffdshow rev1890 mar 6 2008

one question: if ffdshow works with nsvcap, do i see it directly on the preview or just at the stream?

btw: i tested "raw video" with I420 and RGB24... this caused a blue screen under my winserver2003 serveral times after a clicked capture in nsvcap...

got it working now, i just had to reinstall nsvcap. however, thanks for your help.

YOU MUST HAVE IT SET TO HANDLE THE FILE TYPE YOU ARE ENCODING
IT ASKS YOU DURING INSTALL :D :cool:
