Need Help Starting New Radio Station? Please Help !!

hey guys...

i have a question i wanna start an online radio station but i want to do this with my own website i don't want to go through another site like for example : Live 365. i want to this with my own server, a couple of people have told me that i need a Dedicated Server in order to this and some other people have told me i can do this without a dedicated server but the amount of listners will depend on the bandwith on my server. can somebody please clarify this for me? im currently hosting a site with UNLIMITED BANDWITH and my hosting company has told me that they support LIVE STREAMING, but they dont provide the software i will have to do it on my own. so can someone please help me and let me know if i should go with a Dedicated Server or my regular hosting, which i prefer since Dedicated Servers are very expensive.

ask your host is the allow ssh access to the server and if they do can you install the software or do they want to install it?

dedicated servers can be expensive and bandwidth is not cheap so i imagine they may have a head fit when the see the bandwidth being used,

Most web hosts do not allow streaming from their servers.
