Does anyone know how to set up a SHOUTcast server to play directly from a college radio setup?

Yup, pretty simple... Setup Winamp & Shoutcast as per the docs, install the linein plugin either from here or Shoutclub.com and plug your board's audio out into the line-in of your computer. That whole thing required about an hour of time to figure out & read about. Once my system worked, I wondered to my self why it took so long.
Good Luck!

Hi.
I'm the current Webmaster and Underwriting Director for 89.1FM KLPI in Ruston, LA (Louisiana Tech University). I currently am streaming our station over the net @ www.891klpi.org (http://www.891klpi.org) via shoutcast. The way I'm doing it is plugging a direct program feed into the computer. We also use a seperate computer to play MP3s over the air when no DJ is in the booth. I was wondering if it was possible to have the shoutcast DSP autoconnect to the server when we go MP3...we'd run Line Recording and then when they fire up DJMP3 and create their playlist for "off-air" times, it would continue streaming...it will be too difficult to retrain DJs and tell them to click the Connect button on the DSP. Thanks for your help ...

Brendan,
I have a similar role in a Spanish University, last year we broadcastonly in our LAN, but now we want to get the whole internet, the problem is that we have tryed several times and we cannot skip the proxy, I don't know why. If u know where could I get some help about it i would be grateful.
Anyway, as we have similar roles, although u don't know let's write down my mail address and as it could be useful for both:
radio@cmusp.ceu.es
Thanks in advanced
