Hi
Haven't used winamp for nearly 10 years now I guess, so you can consider me a Noob. Anyway, I just installed version 5.531 and downloaded a few skins. All .wsz work fine but I can't get winamp to load any .wal skins, it just displays the classic skin when I try a .wal skin.
Please help:confused:

A few possibilities... You mistakingly downloaded the Lite version instead of Full, which has absolutely no modern skin support (and will immediately load the bundled Classic skin if attempting to load a .wal file) You downloaded Full but failed to checkmark Modern skin support in the installer options (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=199851#list) (in which case the same thing happens as in #1 above). You'll then have to reinstall Full again but make certain that Modern skin support is checkmarked in the installer options (under "User Interface Extensions") In the event that you are running the oh-so-quirky Windows Vista with SP1 as your op sys, then see this...Originally posted by JonnyMac
There have been several reports of skins not downloading or displaying correctly with Vista SP1. See DJ Egg's reply (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=289111#skins) from the Winamp 5.531 released (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=289111) thread for some suggested fixes.

Ahhh! You have Lite. Now, if you want modern skin support (.wal files), just install Full but make certain that Modern skin support is checkmarked in the installer options (under "User Interface Extensions").
And yer welcome ;)
