Running lastest version of shoutcast (downloaded it a couple days ago)
Redhat Linux 7.0
Celeron 300A (no overclocking)
64 megs of memory.
40 gig hard drive (plenty of free space)
PacBell DSL
Playing a large mp3 in WinAmp from my site, www.magnusthorne.com, (http://www.magnusthorne.com,) works fine.
Playing a large mp3 in WinAmp from my shoutcast server, www.magnusthorne.com:8080/content/whatever.pls, (http://www.magnusthorne.com:8080/content/whatever.pls,) will play, but will loses connectivity after a couple seconds, then reconnects, then loses connectivity after a few seconds... etc...
I'm assuming it isn't a bandwidth problem, since playing from my web site works fine. I've got nothing else eating my bandwidth. The web site gets very little traffic.
I've got a firewall in front of my server, but I've opened all ports to make sure there isn't a firewall problem.
Any ideas?
thanx,
