I have a linksys one port router, and I cant get winamp to work =( I tried forwarding ports 8000, 8001, 80, 666, but to no avail.
I keep getting this error. [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Connection timed out 24.130.145.187:8000 check shoutcast.com troubleshooting
so if ne1 can help me out, please tell me!

Same problem here with my Linksys, I have ports 80, 21 (ftp server), 8000, 8001 all forwarding, but no luck.
I can stream on my local network, but shoutcast will time out over the net.
However, you can get around the problem on the Linksys if you go to the Advanced tab in the settings and go to the last tab DMZ Host. Put the server ip in there and it will stream fine, however I'm not sure of the risks (if any) in opening up your computer to the internet. If anyone has anymore info on the DMZ setting for the Linksys, would appreciate.
Otherwise there must be a port or two that needs to be forwarded...
