Server and broadcaster on same computer?

Newbie here... Is it possible to run a server and broadcast to it from the same computer? What I want to do is run a server that plays MP3's so the four of us in our art department can 'tune' into it from our individual computers. We're running an 100Mbps IP network. The reason why is radio stations suck and even if we wanted to we can't tune them in because of our metal building messes up radio recption.

Yep, it's definitely possible! That's what I did for the longest time, until I got a real web hoster....
